Rent or Purchase? - Water Cooler Services

Buying or renting a cooler is not dissimilar to buying or renting a property. In the long run you would expect buying to be cheaper, however if you choose to rent there is no need to worry if and when the cooler (or boiler) breaks down, or any of the other administrative hassles that go along with self maintenance - Thirsty 4 Water will take care of them for you. Also, at the end of the rental term you are entitled to a brand new cooler!

With any situation where there is the opportunity to buy or rent, there is a need to consider initial and ongoing costs before making a decision. Water coolers are no different. Rental agreements include EVERYTHING - servicing, repairs and regular filter changes.

If I purchase how can I pay?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, cheques and bank transfers. You can pay securing using this website or over the phone.

If you are a limited company registered in the UK, and sign up for an account with us, we will accept an official purchase order, where the goods can be sent before payment.

If I purchase can you install our plumbed-in water cooler for us?

Yes, we can install the cooler for you at a cost of £120 per cooler. Please call our Helpdesk on 0800 542 3950 to discuss this.

If I purchase can you sanitise our plumbed-in water cooler for us?

Yes, you can opt for our service package from £50 per quarter. This includes:

  • 6 monthly service and cleaning 
  • 6 monthly filter change 
  • engineer on call

What area do you cover?

Thirsty 4 Water operate Nationwide and are able to deliver anywhere on mainland United Kingdom.

Do I need a site survey for a plumbed-in cooler?

No, it really is very simple. Providing your building isn't listed, our engineers will find a way around any unforeseen problems. If, in the unlikely event we're unable to, we will gladly supply you with a bottled spring water cooler solution. If you are still unsure, call our Helpdesk on 0800 542 3950 to discuss this.  

What's the difference between a plumbed-in, mains-fed and point-of-use water cooler?

There is a common misconception that these are different products. They are, however, just different names for the same thing - a bottleless water cooler that receives the supply of water direct from the mains.

Can we install and sanitise our plumbed-in water cooler ourselves?

The installation of a plumbed in water cooler is an easy DIY fit with no pipes to cut, no copper piping or soldering and no need to turn off the water. We can also provide you with a sanitisation kit.

What do the water filters do?

Our water filters are capable of reducing or eliminating bad tastes and odours, chlorine, and other organic contaminants to produce significantly improved drinking water. We use carbon block filters as standard because they have a higher contaminant removal ratio than GAC (Gas Activated Carbon) filters.
